Guys, I fell off the wagon. I was absolutely 100% committed to gluten-free, dairy-free and everything else-free (basically) PLUS taking my probiotics daily, and then I just stopped. I even started working with a personal trainer for a few weeks...AND STOPPED.
Here's why. I struggle to stick to my health commitments in difficult seasons of life. When I got down to the wire with moving out of my rental house and into the house I bought, things got ROUGH. The home-buying process really knocked the wind out of me. I don't want to complain too much about it because I am SO grateful I was able to buy a house and I am SO happy that I actually did it, but OH MAN. The actual process stressed me out more than I could have imagined it would. Then, when I finally moved INto the new house, I got a flu which lasted about 2 weeks and all the stuff I "needed" in order to get healthy again were in boxes.
I don't like that I do this! I want to go easy on myself because it's realistic to go through hard times and let commitments slide, but I really do wanna get better about it. I stopped going to my trainer when he went out of the country for a week, and by the time he got back I was in the throes of house stress followed by that flu, so I just kept blowing it off.
Needless to say, the cramps which had been IMPROVING over the previous few months came back with a vengeance. This past flare up was the worst one I've had in a LONG time, and I decided (AGAIN) that I needed to buckle down and get back on the wagon.
SO I STARTED WHOLE30!! And I'm gonna get back in the swing with my trainer next week. Consider this me OFFICIALLY resuming the health updates.
The next few months should be smooth sailing, but life throws curve balls so WHO KNOWS? I want to stick with it though. My health is too important to keep letting it slide when things get hard.
I haven't done WHOLE30 in a few years, but OH MY WORD, the recipes have gotten SO much better than they used to be. I'll be sharing my favorites (this for breakfast yeah buddy), physical pain progress and fitness progress here + on my Instagram stories so please follow along if you're interested in all that!!
Love you guys a ton and to anyone on this health journey with me, WE CAN DO IT!!
